Afraid of people

Psalm 56: 9-11

Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call.

This I know, that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise,

in the Lord, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Psalm 62:5-9

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;

my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation;

he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honour depend on God;

he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people;

pour out your hearts to him,

for God is our refuge. Surely the lowborn are but a breath,

the highborn are but a lie.

If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;

together they are only a breath.

Psalm 27: 1-3

The Lord is my light and my salvation—

whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me

to devour me,

it is my enemies and my foes

who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me,

my heart will not fear;

though war break out against me,

even then I will be confident.
